Hello everyone Here is another card project to catch you up on in my crafting space. I love fall /thanksgiving cards, but I never seem to have time to get them out on time. For these cards I used the rubbernecker fall foliage stamp I got from the Katscrappiness.com haul. I learned about Rubberneckerstamps in 2015 when I stopped by their booth at a Scrapbook Expo in my area. (I love my poppy set!) I thought this would be an awesome thanksgiving card. The rubbernecker stamps really do all the work for you re: watercoloring. It is great when you are short on time. For these cards I used Momento Dew Drop inks in Bamboo Leaves, Rhubarb Stalk and Tangelo. I spritzed some water on the "leaves" portion of the stamp, the water does all the work for you mixing the colors. I used my mini-misti to make sure I got even pressure and the leaves all in the same spot. The tree was stamped in Momento Tuxedo Black. The sentiment was from Hero Arts sentiments stamp set. I tried to mirror the text in a similar/predominant leave color to match. I used Strathmore pre-cut watercolor sheets 5x7. I split these into two at 3.5 inches and it fit perfectly on my Neenah Soloar White card base (80lb). I wanted to add some splatter details, but due to time (late night crafting) I kept it clean and simple for these cards. I hope you liked my projects! Thanks for stamping by! Hello everyone The last of the projects from this month. I attended Maya's card class this month, the last for 2016! Here we made a set of cards using StampinUp Designer series paper to make a storage pocket as well as line our envelopes and border our card panels. The image and sentiment were stamped on glossy paper in Versamark (image) and Stazon in black (sentiment). Really cool technique. It is like embossed resist, but without the embossing powder. I didn't get a chance to note the inks or stamp set used. Maya was also generous to supply a sponge to use to ink on our glossy panels. I hope you liked the card class creation! Thanks for stamping by! Hello Everyone This is a haul post that I wanted to share. I found this site while surfing through YouTube and I thought I would purchase a few items I have been wanting to try and a few items I thought looked nice to have (Christmas dies, rubberneck stamp). Kat was kind enough to send a sample of her sequins. . Quick delivery too! I haven't yet tried the dies, but I will say that the stitched circle and rectangle dies were considerably cheaper than Simon Says Stamp and elsewhere. I have a next post using the rubbernecker stamp! Check out katscrappiness.com and see if you find something new for your craft room! Thanks for stamping by! Hello everyone!
Here is a card I made for my sister for her birthday. I used an MTF card sketch for inspiration. I thought it came out OK... I really wanted to do three of the pattern papers, but I should have cut them a little more narrow to fit them. The stamp image comes from a Mama Elephant set. I stamped in Distressed Ink Antique Linen and colored the image in with Prismacolor Pencils. I added a coat of wink of stella for some shimmer. I hope you liked the card! Thanks for stamping by! |
