Hello everyone!
Didn't get a chance to get this up earlier. Posting a little in reverse, actually created these before I did my Tuesday Morning find and attempted the Simon Says Stamp water coloring challenge. Here are three cards. The first two are baby cards. One for college friend and one for my SIL. My SIL and brother just welcomed their baby girl and my other friend is due in December but her baby shower is coming up. and of course I am late to get a gift for my SIL.... (note to self: still have to make one more for a coworker's shower) The last card is a birthday card for my Nana. I get to see her for her birthday this year (well almost -- at least I am seeing her before the holidays). It also happens that my cousin is getting married that same weekend. so much celebrating to do! The cards all used Simon Says Stamp papers, mainly coming from the recent card kits but also reaching back to a few others (I think the May kit at least). I just fell in love with that heart stamp from the September kit and just had to put out to use! Also really liking to do ink splatter on my cards recently and that gold pigment ink from the kit on the birthday card just gets everywhere so have to embrace it. I hope you liked the cards and thanks for stamping by! (original post: 10.13, edited 10.14: one image was not showing) Hi everyone!
I did some crafting over the long weekend. Participating in Simon says stamp's Monday (10.12) challenge: Wonderful Watercolor. Bought these watercolors from Michael's a few months ago but haven't created much with them. Found this fall leaves embossing folder from Tuesday Mornings and thought it would be nice to do a watercolor background and emboss over it. I then added some texture with a nail file. For accent I used gold pigment ink from my recent SSS card kit. I used a tag die from spellbinders and blended "tea dyed" distressed ink over the tag. I also used the same ink for the sentiment. The text comes from a wooden "typewriter" font. I had these enamel dots that I thought went well as a faux brad on the tag. Thanks for stamping by! |
