Thanks for stamping by. I have another project share to catch you up on.
The top card grew out of the scrap panel I had. I used a big floral stamp by Mama Elephant to create a background. I added a vellum piece, embossing in gold using the same floral stamp. I trimmed it out and added some natural jute with small stickers to complete my sentiment (welcome baby). This turned out to be a very elegant card for a mother to be.
The second card used various patterned papers, vellum and stickers. I also added balloons in the upper left for the elephant to hold that said "baby boy" but I could not find the photo to share (my apologies!). This card was for a cousin of mine and I had her invitation colors in mind when making the card (blues, greys, elephant). I like to add this type of extra personalization to a card. Makes for a special touch.
When I can, I try to add in embossing to my cards.

Life started to creep into my crafting and blogging. Should be back to regular updates soon.
For Mother's Day I created a watercolor panel using the stamp set Organic Blooms by Mama Elephant. I heat embossed in gold and used my Windsor and Newton's Cotman's watercolors for coloring. I used a sentiment from Hero Arts in gold pigment ink on black card stock. I notched out a flag ends and adhered the sentiment with a tiny attacher. I put my panels on a cream/ivory card base.
