Hello everyone!
I had two cards I wanted to make last night. One is for another co-worker who is leaving. Masculine cards are still hard for me but I borrowed from my feminine layout I made of this card a few weeks back for another co-worker. I have been forcing myself to use the awesome pattern papers that come in the Simon card kits. The pattern paper came from the card kit with the sailboat stamp set and die. maybe it was June? I don't have it in front of me (mobile posting again). I went a little over board with my sharpie accents. otherwise I like this card. I love that lime green accent strip. For my anniversary card I had a couple in mind that is approaching their first year. I struggled again with layout. so of course I looked to Google for images. I found one that was more of a tone on tone card but had this yarn or string wrap around. I ended up staining some jute with momento tuxedo black and a wrapped it around my base. The base layer had some versamark stamping on it. I like that subtle stamp image coming through on the darker coloring of the paper. I punched out two hearts ("his and hers") I adhered them over the jute with glue dots. I used some scrap black paper and heat embossed a sentiment from the Simon "smile and Happy" stamp set. with both cards I used my fiskars corner rounder (which I just 'found' again) and have been using a lot in my last two card making sessions. I hope you enjoyed the cards and thanks for stamping by! Comments are closed.
